ISLAMABAD: The US government has helped Pakistan in its fight against COVID-19 by donating 100 ventilators to Pakistan.
The ventilators arrived in Karachi on Thursday and they will be distributed across hospitals in Pakistan. The ventilators are made in America and are valued at about $3 million.
Ambassador Paul Jones remarked, “the United States stands with Pakistan in its fight against coronavirus. These American-made ventilators will help Pakistani patients in the most acute need of medical care”.
The US-Pakistan health partnership aims to combat against coronavirus and help in improving health facilities. So far $27 million has been funded by US in this partneyship. “We are also thankful for Pakistan’s contribution of medical supplies to help fight coronavirus in the United States,” Ambassador Jones said.
