
Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.06%
Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Plastic, Oil, Gas & Electricity and Chemical sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted added 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Aerospace Industrial Development Corp (TW:2634), which rose 10.00% or 5.80 points to trade at 63.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Microtek International Inc (TW:2305) added 10.00% or 3.60 points to end at 39.60 and LARGAN Precision Co Ltd (TW:3008) was up 10.00% or 395.00 points to 4,345.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Novatek Microelectronics Corp (TW:3034), which fell 13.75% or 74.50 points to trade at 467.50 at the close. LongDa Construction & Development Corp (TW:5519) declined 11.92% or 3.91 points to end at 28.90 and WUS Printed Circuit Co Ltd (TW:2316) was down 10.82% or 22.50 points to 185.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.55% or 1.21 to $79.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.42% or 1.18 to hit $84.48 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.79% or 31.62 to trade at $4,037.32 a troy ounce.
