ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Health Services and Health Regulatory Authority has fixed the rates for COVID-19 tests in private hospitals and laboratories located in federal capital
There was notification issued by the Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) on Wednesday. It stated that as per the decision made by the National Command Operation Centre (NCOC) and authorities working under Islamabad Healthcare Regulation Act 2018, rates for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) being conducted in private hospitals, labs and collection centres will be fixed.
It mentioned that rates for tests using kits by Chinese companies will be Rs5,500. And tests which are done using kits by Roche or Abbot will charge Rs6,500.
Healthcare authorities have warned all private hospitals, labs and collection centres in the capital that they will be regularly inspected to confirm compliance.
