Pakistan joined the ranks of those few countries which are producing their own ventilators: Fawad Chaudhary

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry announced on Sunday that the first batch of ventilators manufactured in Pakistan will be delivered to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in the coming week.

Fawad Chaudhary said Pakistan is among very few countries who are making their own ventilators. As it is a complicated machine and not a lot of countries have been able to produce them. He hopes that Pakistan is able to meets its need of ventilators and is also able to export them

The Federeal Minister congratulated the Pakistan Engineering Council, National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC), scientists and technicians for their efforts. The process started with country faced its first COVID-19 patient in February 26.

Further he announced that the next three designs are also in their final stages. These efforts will place Pakistan among the few countries in the world that manufacture complex medical machines of European Union (EU) standards.
