ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has inaugurated Pakistan’s first indigenous ventilators’ manufacturing facility on Monday.
“It is a landmark achievement for the country and I congratulate the entire team,” PM Imran Khan said after inaugurating the ventilators production unit.
The ventilators production facility is located at the National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) in the city of Haripur, some 90 km from the capital city Islamabad, according to government officials and local reports.
The prime minister’s office said that the NRTC is the first organization in Pakistan has become the first organization which has started the local development and production of portable ventilators called “SafeVent SP100”.
The organization has already produced 15 units of the ventilators. It has a production capacity to manufacture 250-300 units per month.
