Saudi Arabia announces health protocols to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus in the 2020 Haj season

Saudi Arabia announces Haj health measures for pilgrims who will be performing Hajj this year.

The state news agency reported that gatherings and meetings between pilgrims will be banned. This year only 1000 domestic pilgrims will be allowed to perform Hajj

It will be mandatory for both pilgrims and organizers to wear masks all the time. .Touching the holy Kaaba will be banned and a social distance space of a metre and a half will be kept among pilgrims while performing the hajj rituals, mass prayers and circulating around the Kaaba.

Starting from July 19 until August 2, 2020 access to Hajj sites at Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat will be limited to those with Hajj permits
